The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was passed with people in mind. A broad spectrum of funding opportunities – from solar installations for farmers to energy efficiency upgrades for homeowners and renters to direct pay incentives for nonprofits and schools looking to invest in clean energy – ensure every Wisconsinite has access to the benefits of clean power!

The Inflation Reduction Act provides $369 billion in clean energy investments, driving job creation, innovation, and slashing climate pollution. This legislation is the most significant action Congress has taken on clean energy. Now, Wisconsin must effectively and equitably connect these policies to people and transition the state to a clean energy economy.

IRA’s incentives have already spurred significant growth across the renewable energy sector. With billions of dollars available for clean energy manufacturing and infrastructure projects, we are witnessing historic investments in new solar, wind, battery storage, and much more. This has created clean energy jobs across the state, invested in Wisconsin communities, and saved money for residents and businesses. RENEW’s IRA Resource Hub aims to help Wisconsin residents, Tribal Nations, nonprofit organizations, schools, farmers, and businesses access information about how they can leverage the benefits of IRA.

Wisconsin’s abundance of resources – from our natural resources and agricultural roots to our proud manufacturing tradition and world-class educational institutions –  make us poised to meet this era of clean energy opportunities. IRA is helping Wisconsin build a clean energy economy, and this is just the beginning.
